Catherine was born and brought up in Perth, Scotland, where she had a love for drawing from the as early as she can remember.  This passion continued to flourish throughout childhood and adolescence and led to her studying fine art at Edinburgh College of Art from 2005-2009.

After graduating from art college, although Catherine did not stop drawing and painting, but she worked as many things including a nursing assistant.  After a year she returned to study and completed a post graduate diploma in occupational therapy, hoping to use her artistic skills to work professionally with people who have mental health difficulties.

Catherine worked full time as an occupational therapist in mental health up until 2018.  However, having returned to Perth and started a family, Catherine has found this to be a catalyst to returning to pursuing a creative career as her main occupation.

At present Catherine is focussing on looking after her two small children as well as renovating an Edwardian house with husband, Matthew. She continues to work from her small home studio when she can, completing commissions and paintings.  Catherine is available for projects, murals and larger scale artwork which she does on a regular basis at Guardswell farm in Perthshire.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch with Catherine if you are interested in collaborating or commissioning.
